Presenting at Bett 2016

posted in: eCadets, eLearning | 1

Last week four of the eCadets were given the opportunity of a lifetime, where we were invited to go to London and deliver a presentation in the Excel centre, where an international event was taking place. Bett is the world’s leading technology event celebrated in the UK.

We took a two and a half hour train to Euston which was where we would travel to Beckton and arrive in our luxurious Premier Inn! As soon as we arrived we unpacked, then went down for dinner. The food was lovely and it was all you can eat, which was very handy considering that all the food we had in our rooms were sweets! After dinner we went back to our rooms with some tasty Ben and Jerry’s ice cream where we practised our presentation for the next day. Not long after, we got into bed and watched a bit of TV.

After breakfast the next morning we made our way to the ExCel centre and delivered our eCadet presentation. We had a rather large audience who were constantly taking notes and writing down information about how we approach eSafety at Cornist. The people who worked there were really lovely and were happy to help with anything. Overall we had a brilliant few days, and we would be honoured to do something like this again.
